Taking short breaks is a great de-stressor for me. Work can get hectic and everyone should take their little breaks — whether it is listening to music or going for a walk — it definitely helps in getting the body back in balance.
There is also another important thing that you should keep in mind. You should realise when you are overworking so that you can take that much-needed break. I am very conscious of the fact. When I am overworking, I withdraw when I feel it’s getting too much. Ideally, meditation is a great technique as it keeps you aware of what’s happening so that you are in control. I try and do this once everyday in the morning or evening. Right now what works best for me is a meditation technique that I learnt in Pranic Healing called Twin Heart meditation. It is very effective and works great for me. Though a lot of people confuse it with Reiki, the techniques are different. As I also work in the art field, looking at art calms me, inspires me and makes me feel good.
