Hyderabad: Hyderabad will be home to India’s biggest incubator to help start ups and will also be the first fully Wi-Fi enabled city. More interestingly it might have Goa’s famous ‘Sunburn Festival’ alongside a huge ‘Amusement Park’ to add to the lifestyle options. The state is also planning to increase the safety aspect by introducing ‘smart policing’, increasing surveillance and giving policemen weekly off.

Telangana IT minister K.T. Rama Rao during an interactive meet with IT industry said that Hyderabad will soon have the biggest incubating facility in the country, which will be run by professionals.

“A second round of meeting with ISB, IIIT and other academic institutions will be held. The first phase has begun here and we are going to take it forward in a time bound manner, to ensure young graduates have an opportunity to take their innovations and ideas to the next level. We want to make Hyderabad the first fully enabled wi-fi city (facility tentatively named hy-fy). Also we will soon have the country’s biggest incubator,” said Mr Rama Rao.

Also collaborating with the Centre on the ‘National Digital Mission’ apart from creating a Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) for upgrading an graduate to professionally employable levels. He stressed that digital literacy needs to be taken to gram panchayat level.

Meanwhile, speaking about the slowdown in IT sector over the last five years the IT minister said that it was not due to the agitations but mostly due to lack of decisive leadership.

“Agitations are a thing of the past and now Hyderabad is poised to take off with the presence of decisive leadership in both state and Centre. We are very keen on making Hyderabad a happening city,” Mr Rama Rao added.
