Three of a family stabbed to death

Three members of a family, including a woman and her seven-year-old son, were stabbed to death by unidentified persons near here, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place late on Wednesday in Dahewan village of the district when three unknown persons attacked the house of one Lilaben Talpada (30).

According to police, the assailants killed Lilaben, her son Ranjit (7) and her brother Laljibhai Talpada (26) while they were sleeping.

A case has been registered and investigations were on, they said, adding the reason for the attack was still not known.
