Hyderabad: Confident that the Central government would not back out of creation of Telangana, the Telugu Rashtriya Samiti leader, Mr K. Chandrashekhar Rao, On Thursday said that the Congress and the Centre need some time to act on it.

"The government of India has taken a step towards the formation of Telangana. We cannot even imagine that the Centre would go back," he told reporters here.

Asserting that an Assembly resolution is not needed for formation of Telangana, Mr Rao said, "It was expected that there will be a bit of reaction from vested interests. Anti-Telangana protests for united Andhra are all promoted and sponsored by vested interests who have their properties in Hyderabad.

"Congress at the national level needs some breathing time for the dust to settle down," he said adding, "the Centre needs some time for the administrative process to be completed".

Mr Rao said that consensus is not needed for the formation of the new state, asking where was the consensus when Gujarat and Maharashtra were separated.

"Consensus is a senseless argument," he added.

On being asked whether some UPA allies like Ms Mamata Banerjee and Mr Sharad Pawar are against Telangana, he said, "It is all nonsense. No UPA party is against Telangana".

On Telugu actor-turned-politician, Mr Chiranjeevi, declaring his support for united Andhra, Mr Rao said, "Mr Naidu (Chandrababu) and Mr Chiranjeevi are changing their colours like chameleons".

"They are putting even chameleons to shame. They knew that the state has already been formed. They are trying to gain a hold in the new Andhra state that is to be formed," he added.

The TRS Chief said that he has spoken to the Congress President, Ms Sonia Gandhi, and and had expressed his gratitude to her.

He asserted that Hyderabad was not a bone of contention. "You will see what will happen," he added.

I think we should support for Telangana as a new state since there is partiality in the development within a state like Andhra pradesh where we can see more development in Andhra and Rayalaseema and not in Telangana. We should go for a change now.

Dear Mr.Asif. We fully support your views on Telangana. We also wish Telangana as a separate state.

It's an irony that you people think the same MPs/MLAs who didn't develop Telangana region will develop Telangana. You people are in a pitiable state. Don't allow silly politicians to play with our lives. Splitting Telangana will not develop the region. Put more pressure on the politicians to develop rather than dancing to their tunes. Our state has lost crores of money due to this agitation. Some people lost their lives, some their property and some their livelihood. Can you bring all these back? Students lives are getting spoil. Do you politician give back your valuable time? I just want to ask the people who are agitating, what gain did you make by spoiling your life, others' life and others property? Did you ever protest against your MP/MLA for not developing your region? The answers lies deep within you. If you don't realise then this is what happens. Fighting. Today you would want to fight for Telangana, then you will fight against other religions then against your family, friends and you would be fighting all the time losing a lot.
But politician's will be happy eating your money divding people in the name of caste, region, religion, etc

KCR who holds only 2 MPs and 10 MLAs in state Assembly cannot take stake for a new state. Centre has acted in haste. It indicate a weak leadership. His Telangana sentiments and stand is thoroughly discarded by the people and he should not create further more tension. All the leaders should sit in the house and either make this resolution through or discard it. There is no point letting the state to ransom by a few selfish politicians and anti-social elements. There are even better ways of handling it and there is no point that Telangana will form in this way.

The revolution is gone beyond KCR, Sonia, Rosaiah. This struggle to achieve Telangana was begun in 1969. Indiramma suppressed it but Sonia has seen the writing on the wall. Those people who are skeptical about survival of Telangana without Andhra region should look at Singapore, a city country which is lot smaller than Telangana. Telangana has lot of talented youth who will develop Telangana in to a prosperous state second to none.

You are comparing Singapore to Telangana? Is that a joke? Dear friend, Singapore is a City, State, Country and an Island as sweetly put by their people. Despite of their limited natural resources, the very disciplined nature of the people made it prosper. Do you think the same is true in Telangana? So don't jump to silly conclusions. Yes, Telanaga region can develop to that level when they stop pitting against the rest of the regions in Andhra Pradesh start working towards the Golden Andhra Pradesh.
