New Delhi, Nov. 8: Speculation about Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s induction into the Union Cabinet is rife shortly after his meeting with the Congress chief, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, here on Saturday.
The Kadapa MP was in the Capital and called on the Congress chief along with his family members, their first visit to the capital after the the death of YSR.
If speculation is to be believed Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would be made a minister of state with Independent charge of a key ministry.
But well-placed official sources in the Congress on Sunday night said no decision about Mr Reddy’s induction has been taken so far. “We have yet to decide a date for a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party. Moreover, campaigning for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections is on. Therefore, the leadership has not taken a final view in this regard,” the sources said.
But the high command has made up its mind to give a role for the young Reddy at the earliest.
