Ahmedabad, July 3: The Criminial Investigation Department, probing the mysterious death of two boys while studying in religious guru Asaram Bapu’s ashram last year, has said that “black magic” may have been practiced inside the ashram.

The revelation comes a year after the mysterious death of two boys — Dipesh and Abhishekh Waghela — who were studying in Asaram Bapu’s gurukul.

In an affidavit filed by the state CID (crime) in the Gujarat High Court, it has been further stated that “some disciples of Asaram knew about it and were trying to conceal the information.”

The investigating officer in the case H.B. Rajput, who filed the affidavit on Thursday, had stated that the conclusion was made following a lie detection test of three disciples of Asaram. The disciples, Minketan Patra, Vikas Khemka and Uday Sanghani, were present in the ashram when the two boys died mysteriously, it added. The parents of the two boys had filed a petition demanding that the probe be handed over to the CBI as the CID (crime) was still clueless about cause of the boys’ death.

Bodies of the two boys were found two days after they went missing last year on the banks of river Sabarmati. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for July 15 in the court of Justice H.N. Devani.

The CID (crime) has not yet named any person as accused in the death of the two boys last year.

Rajput, in his affidavit has also objected to the demand of CBI probe by the victim’s fathers on the grounds that CID was doing a thorough probe in the case.

Asaram Bapu is the main culprit in the death of two boys namely Depesh and Abhisekh, due to practice of Black Magic on them. There is nothing like Black Magic existing, it is a sort of fooling the people in the name of religion. Even the GURU or the BABA knows this secret. What the GURUS of Ashram do is their profession to earn money in a easy way. Hundreds of Dhongi Babas are caught even on the television many times, even then poor people are victims to Gurus, Babas and Sadhus. Investigations should be conducted seriously and the responsible Head of Ashram should be put behind the bars.
