New Delhi, Dec. 18: The Union government rushed through five key Bills and introduced two amidst chaos in the Lok Sabha forcing an angry Opposition to stage a walk-out.

The entire Opposition, including the BJP and the Left parties, staged a walk-out in protest as the Speaker, Ms Meira Kumar, rushed through legislative business in the backdrop of slogan shouting by the pro- and anti-Telangana members from both the Congress and the Telugu Desam (TD).

Sensing the mood of the House, as disruptions over Telangana issue continued for the fourth consecutive day, Ms Kumar adjourned the Lok Sabha sine die, a day ahead of the schedule.

Five bills — Commercial Division of High Courts Bill, Civil Defence (Amendment) Bill, Salaries and Allowances of Ministers (Amendment) Bill, Legal Metrology Bill and Trade Marks (Amendment) Bill, were passed by a voice vote.
