Congress, BJP slam KCR for foul language

Mr Laxman has also slammed Mr Rao for saying that the Opposition has no right to speak.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday faced the wrath of the Opposition parties for his comments and the objectionable language he used against his rivals.

Telangana BJP president Dr K. Laxman said, “The Chief Ministers of both Telugu states are busy targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That is the reason for KCR ignoring the Cabinet and touring the country in the name of forming Federal Front. KCR’s comments on the Prime Minister are insulting. When the Prime Minister himself is a BC, is there any need of a separate BC minister?”

Mr Laxman has also slammed Mr Rao for saying that the Opposition has no right to speak. He said, "Because we lost in the elections, should we not raise the problems of the public?"

Congress leader Sravan Dasoju also criticised Mr Rao, saying that he must learn to speak in decent language. He said, “KCR must realise that he is the Chief Minister not only for the TRS, but for four crore people of Telangana state. Therefore, he must learn to speak in a decent and balanced manner. Calling Congress leaders 'bevaqoof' (idiots) does not suit the stature of a man who sits in the CM's chair. KCR has brought utter shame and disrespect to not only to his position, but also to the entire state of Telangana.”

Mr Dasoju said that for him, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was like own father and he would not mind if he uses harsh language against him, but he would not tolerate if the Chief Minister tries to divert the real issues.

Sravan said, “KCR’s attack on the Congress leaders and defending the reduction in quota for BCs in Panchayat Raj polls were nothing but a major conspiracy for disempowering the BCs politically by reducing their representation in local bodies. He wants to stop Congress leaders from taking up people's issues. KCR cannot stop us from fighting for justice.”
