Amit Shah sees Telangana as gateway for BJP

Amit Shah stated that he was very confident of BJP assuming power in Telangana in 2019.

Hyderabad: BJP national president Amit Shah has put the onus on rank and file of the Telangana state unit to bring the saffron party to power in the southern state in the 2019 elections.

Telangana state should become the gateway for the BJP’s entry and becoming a reckoning force in the south, he said. Mr Shah stated that he was very confident of BJP assuming power in TS in 2019.

“You have three more years’ time. Take Modi government’s programmes and achievement to people at all levels. People from all over the country accepted Mr Modi and the BJP and I see no reason why such results cannot be repeated in Telangana after 1,000 days,” he told party workers from 10 districts who attended a special meeting convened here on the occasion of Modi government completing two-year’s term at the Centre.

Shah wants lotus to blossom in 2019
Mr Shah asked all attendees of a special meeting to take a vow to strengthen the party in Telangana, garner support to Mr Modi and win in the 2019 elections.

While Mr Shah refrained from making any comments on the TRS government here, BJP legislator G. Kishan Reddy launched an all-out attack against the government.

He alleged that Mission Kakatiya, which was a good concept, has become a golden goose for TRS party workers and hence graft is ruling the scheme. Mr Reddy lambasted the government for adopting a soft stand against the MIM, which is in the dock since its leaders were making controversial statements and hurting sentiments of the citizens of the country.
