Fee sop forgotten, says N Uttam Kumar Reddy

TPCC warns the government on reimbursement.

Nizamabad/Kamareddy: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy was critical of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He alleged that the CM had forgotten the sacrifices of students during the peak Telangana state movement and ignored the fee reimbursement scheme.

Students faced difficulty due to delay in fee reimbursement scheme, he said. He warned that KCR would lose his chair, if students revolt against anti-student policies.

The Grameena Vidyarthi Yuva Garjana programme was held at Armoor and Kamareddy on Friday. NSUI, Youth Congress leaders conducted the programme in which college students in large numbers participated.

The TPCC chief said that negligence on fee reimbursement scheme should show the failure of TRS.

Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was giving priority to releasing funds for Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha contractors to get their due commissions, he alleged. The TRS government was underestimating the student power by ignoring their problems, he added.

“KCR should remember that agitation for separate Telangana state was intensified, when students participated in the agitation,” he said.

AICC secretary Ramachandra Khuntia, AICC SC department chairman Koppula Raju, Leader of Opposition in the Council Mohammad Ali Shabbir, former Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy, former minister P. Sudarshan Reddy, DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan, MLC Akula Lalitha, TPCC secretaries G. Gangadhar, Gandrath Sujatha, spokesman B. Mahesh Kumar Goud and others were present.

Meanwhile, students handed over applications seeking release of funds for fee-reimbursement scheme under signature campaign programme. Highlighting the misrule of TRS, cultural programmes were also conducted.
