VS Achuthanandan challenges Ramesh Chennithala to order probe on letter

The home minister is having entire investigation agencies in the state under his control.

Kochi: Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan has dared home minister Ramesh Chennithala to order a probe into the veracity of the letter allegedly written by him to the Congress high command stating that the government headed by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has been seeped in corruption and scandals.

Addressing an election meeting in Muvattupuzha on Thursday, Mr Achuthanandan has mocked the home minister for stating that he had not written such a letter. The home minister is having entire investigation agencies in the state under his control. If he has not written such a letter he should order a probe to find out the people behind such a letter, the opposition leader said.

Mr Achuthanandan has been reading out from the letter purportedly written by Mr Chennithala for election campaign in the past two days to launch attack against the UDF regime. Responding to the use of his letter Mr. Chennithala stated that there was no such letter and the Opposition leader was spreading false information.
