Frustrated Mysoora quits YSRC

In a letter addressed to Jagan Reddy, the senior politician accused the party chief of only being interested in money and power politics.

Hyderabad: Former MP and minister Mr M.V. Mysoora Reddy on Wednesday resigned from the YSR Congress.

In a letter addressed to YSR Congress president Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the senior politician from Kadapa district, who had joined the party in 2012, said that there was no internal democracy or a fighting spirit in the party and accused the party chief of only being interested in money and power politics.

He wrote: “I am unable to do justice either to my Rayalaseema region or to the party due to your attitude. I can do nothing in the party by continuing like a mute spectator and nodding to whatever you (Jagan Mohan Reddy) dictate.”

He said he had been more or less forced to join the YSRC in 2012 when he had called on Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Several people were present at the breakfast meeting and I got no time to think.

Despite that, I continued in the party. But of late, I have noticed there is no humanitarian approach in your attitude and you are only interested in power and moneyed politics,” Mr Mysoora Reddy wrote.
