Terror has no religion, says M Venkaiah Naidu

Calling it “atrociousâ€Pakistan accusing India for terror mayhem there, he asserted India never encourages terrorism.

Hyderabad: Union minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday said that Pakistan should dismantle all terrorist camps in its territory, end terrorism as a state policy and stop aiding, abetting, funding, training terrorists against India.

“Pakistan should realise using terrorism as a state policy is suicidal. It’s like a Basmasura hasta. If you give such an opportunity to Basmasura, it will destroy you too. Quetta incident is an example. If you encourage terrorism, you will fall victim to it one day or the other,” he said.

Stating that terrorism is the enemy of mankind, Mr Naidu said, “Terrorists have no religion. Entire world must come together to expose and eliminate terrorism from the world. Pakistan has to change its policy and hand over those behind the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.”

“Over the years Pakistan has waged proxy war against India, unnecessary dragging Kashmir into controversy,” he said.

“They want to cripple Indian democracy, economy. They want to subvert India by bringing in religion. Support for Indian militants, terrorists, is coming from across the border. Puri duniya janti hai (entire world knows),” he told the media here.
Mr Naidu said the attack on the police academy in Quetta where scores were killed was the fallout of Pakistan encouraging terrorism.

Stating Pakistan failed to honour Agra summit promise not to allow its soil to be used for any terrorist activity, he said it has not “walked the talk.”

“In spite of number of goodwill gestures by India, attempt to have friendly neighbourly relations, Pakistan is adopting double standards by criticising and encouraging terror. Fighting against terror on the west and encouraging terror on the east is not good nor will it help Pakistan,” he said.

Calling it “atrocious” Pakistan accusing India for terror mayhem there, he asserted India never encourages terrorism.

“Terrorists have no religion. Entire world must come together to identify, expose and eliminate terrorism from every nook and corner of the world. Pakistan has to change its policy,” he added.
