NTR was inefficient as leader: Minister Dadisetty Raja

The minister said NTR was backstabbed by Nadendla Bhaskara Rao first; and the by his own son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu

KAKINADA: Roads and Buildings Minister Dadisetty Ramalingeswara Rao made a controversial remark on cine actor and Telugu Desam founder, the late NT Rama Rao, here on Monday.

The minister, who came to Ravikampadu village of Thondangi mandal in Kakinada district to inaugurate development programmes, told the media that, as per his opinion, NT Rama Rao as chief minister was inefficient and hence he faced backstabbing twice even as he had a huge majority in the assembly.

He said NTR was backstabbed by Nadendla Bhaskara Rao first; and the by his own son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu. There was no comparison between YS Rajasekhara Reddy and NTR as CMs.

“YSR was a great leader and won a place in the people’s hearts.”

Kakinada Rural MLA and the former minister Kurasala Kannababu lashed out at former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He told the media in Kakinada that Naidu was playing cheap tricks by provoking women in the name of farmers in the Amaravati movement.

The Telugu Desam is unnecessarily highlighting the issue of name-change for what was the NTR Health University. Some Telugu Desam leaders made statements that they would remove the YSR statues in retaliation. He challenged the TD leaders to do so and face the consequences from the people.

Telugu Desam former MLAs SVSN Varma, Vanamdi Venkateswara and Ananda Rao condemned the comments of minister Dadisetty. They told the media that everyone knew what kind of a character this minister was. He was only trying to get good marks from chief minister Jagan Reddy, he said.
