BJP has nothing to do with violence in Kovai
: Distancing her party from the violence witnessed in Coimbatore in the aftermath of the murder of Hindu Munnani’s spokesman C. Sasikumar, she said neither the BJP nor the Hindu organisations had anything to do with the violent incidents in Coimbatore.

She was reacting to remarks by DMK chief M. Karunanidhi and TNCC president Su Thirunavukkarasar who condemned the violence.

“I condole the death of Sasikumar and express my grief to his family members. But at the same time, I condemn violence in Coimbatore caused by hired goons,” Mr Karunanidhi had said. Thirunavukkarasar however blamed the BJP and Hindu organisations for the violence.
