Tamil Nadu CM takes long wish list to PM

During his two-day visit , Palanisami is likely to take up various other issues including exempting Tamil Nadu from NEET.

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami will meet PM Modi on Monday in a charged-up atmosphere, especially since there is growing opposition to the hydrocarbon project of the Centre in the State.

Speaking about the hydrocarbon exploration and extraction project at Neduvasal in Pudukottai district, Palanisami had recently said he would discuss the subject with the PM and “initiate action in such a way that it would not affect farmers.”

He would also take up the issue of approving the project design for implementing the Avinashi-Athikadavu project, Kerala’s move to construct check dams across the Bhavani and the constitution of the Cauvery Water Management Board, too.

During his two-day visit , Palanisami is likely to take up various other issues including exempting Tamil Nadu from NEET and seeking funds to address damage caused by cyclone ‘Vardah.’ On Tuesday he would meet Nitin Gadkari, Ravishankar Prasad, M. Venkaiah Naidu and Piyush Goyal. This is his maiden visit to Delhi after being sworn-in as Chief Minister.
