3 YSRC MLAs may join TD

Jyothula Nehru, who has been an MLA twice in TD, served as TD District president also before he joined the Praja Rajyam in 2009.

Kakinada: There is a campaign going on in the Telugu Desam regarding three YSRC MLAs, Jyothula Nehru (Jaggampet deputy floor leader in the opposition in the House), Varupula Subba Rao (Prathipadu) and V.Rajeswari (Rampachodavaram), being ready to join TD on April 1 or 2. There is heated discussion taking place about this in party circles.

Jyothula Nehru, who has been an MLA twice in TD, served as TD District president also before he joined the Praja Rajyam in 2009. Later, he won as an MLA from YSRC in the 2014 elections. He had some differences with some of the party leaders and also with CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and shifted his loyalties.

Now, according to TD circles, Jyothula Nehru has expressed dissatisfaction with YSRC as he was not considered for the public accounts chairman's (PAC) post in place of Bhuma Nagireddy. TD leaders are also saying that injustice was done to Nehru when he was in YSRC. Deputy chief minister N. China Rajappa said that if Jyothula Nehru were to have remained in TD, he would have been nominated for a cabinet post. Such comments have strengthened the rumours.
