A K Saseendran makes it to the left front government

Saseendran was elected as member of the Coffee Board.

Thiruvananthapuram: A K Saseendran (71) entered politics through the student movement as leader of the Kerala Students Union. He was the general secretary of the Union between 1967 and 1969. He was also active in the youth movement becoming the president of the Kerala Pradesh Youth Congress committee in 1977-78 period.

Saseendran was elected as member of the Coffee Board , governing board of Kerala Saksharta Samitha and Kerala Housing Board. The NCP leader was vice president of Jawaharlal Nehru Public Library and Research Centre , Kannur.

At the moment he is the top leader of the Nationalist Congress Party. He was elected to the Kerala Assembly in 1980, 1982 and 2006. Married to Anitha Krishnan N T, the couple has a son.
