BJP objects to Asaduddin Owaisi’s advice against govt

He condemned the attack on state BJP office on Thursday and demanded that the state government order an inquiry into the incident.

Hyderabad: BJP Greater Hyderabad unit president N. Ramchander Rao, MLC, has condemned the appeal of MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, asking people not to cooperate with government officials who visit their houses to collect data under the provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Speaking to the media on Friday, he alleged that the MIM president is provoking and instigating people against government officials, which is nothing but a move to radicalise people. The BJP leader asked Mr Owaisi to stop instigating people in the name of CAA, NCR and NPR. “The appeal exposes the ‘dangerous attitude’ of the Hyderabad MP,” the BJP MLC remarked.

He condemned the attack on state BJP office on Thursday and demanded that the state government order an inquiry into the incident. He recounted that a group of unidentified persons, suspected to be MIM members, came to state BJP office, tried to gatecrash and attack the people inside. Police, who reached the spot, took them into custody.

Mr Ramachander Rao demanded that police enquire into the incident and identify those behind the attack on a political party’s office, which is highly objectionable and undemocratic.
