Governer appealed to frontline workers to take the vaccine without any hesitation

Tirupati: Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan said vaccines made in India were safe and that people need not be afraid to take them.

The Governor was speaking to the media after she and her family members had darshan of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala on Sunday. She was presented with Srivari prasadams at Ranganayakula Mandapam by TTD additional executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy.

The Governor appealed to frontline workers to take the vaccine without any hesitation because it was developed and cleared as per all international safety norms. She said, "We all must be proud because we are not dependent on any other country for the vaccine. Our vaccine is safe."

Later, she attended the golden jubilee celebrations of SV Medical College here. She offered prayers in the temple of Sri Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor and Lord Sri Kalahasteeswara in Srikalahasti.
