PA case complaint filed against BS Yeddyurappa

The advocate alleged that Yeddyurappa had shielded his relative and PA, who is the prime accused in this case.

Bengaluru: An advocate and a social worker has filed a complaint with the city police commissioner calling for registering of a case against BJP State President and former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for interference in the investigation of attempt to kidnap of BJP leader K. S. Eshwarappa’s personal assistant (PA). The advocate alleged that Yeddyurappa had shielded his relative and PA, who is the prime accused in this case.

Yeddyurappa had recently written to the Police Commissioner complaining him of ‘serious misconduct’ by police after a police team conducted a midnight search operation at his house looking for his PA N.R. Santhosh.

Citing the letter, advocate Amruthesh N.P. has written to the top cop that it was astonishing that Mr Yeddyurappa has written a letter in favour of Santhosh.

“It is a clear case of interference, political influence, bringing pressure on the police department in the course of investigation. Further, it is also mentioned in the said letter that Rajendra Urs, one of the accused, has already taken anticipatory bail and he is also a BJP Yuva Morcha leader,” the advocate said.

“In addition there was an allegation that he was taken to an undisclosed place and police have forced him to state that Santhosh is also involved in this. All these types of allegations and making interference and bringing pressure during the course of investigation is very much illegal and amounts to an offence,” he added.Amruthesh requested the police chief to register a complaint against Mr Yeddyurappa and take suitable action as per law.
