Thiruvananthapuram: More youth MLAs have come out against the KPCC leadership following K. Muraleedharan MP's outburst against PCC president Mullapally Ramachandran on the party revamping.
Muraleedharan had sent a letter to Mullapally on Monday urging him to restructure the party as he likes. He later called on Mullapally and also senior leader A.K. Antony on the issue.
Angamaly MLA Roji M. John and Kunnathunadu MLA V. P. Sajeendran, in their Facebook posts, flayed certain leaders holding responsible posts claiming KPCC berths.
"If the party comes to power, they wish to become ministers. When the KPCC revamping happens, they wish to become office-bearers. When AICC restructuring occurs, they eye a berth there also," said Sajeendran.
Muraleedharan was opposed to the moves to accommodate V. S. Sivakumar MLA in the KPCC revamp. But Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala did not want to create a ruckus in the group and roped in V. D. Satheesan MLA as working president/vice-president in the new committee.
"Chennithala was keen to rein in K. Sudhakaran MP by bringing in A. P. Anil Kumar MLA. If so Sudhakaran will not oppose the dalit MLA's appointment," said a Congress leader.
Chennithala's 'I' camp wants to end Sudhakaran's supremacy and make Attingal MP Adoor Prakash PCC general secretary, proving that there is no end to groupism in the party.
