BJP Kerala secretary A M Nazeer may be suspended

At the same time, BJP leaders are keen to initiate action against those leaders too who leaked the enquiry report before the media.

Thiruvananthapuram: All eyes are going to be on BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan when he comes out of the hospital to attend the crucial core committee and state office bearers meeting on Saturday morning. In all likelihood, BJP state secretary A. M. Nazeer will be suspended from the party, who was also one among the two-member enquiry commission in the medical college scam led by party vice-president K. P. Seesan.

Ever since the medical college scam snowballed in to a major controversy, Kummanam has been incommunicado as he has been indisposed. While Kumma-nam has been seen as a soft spoken leader, the latest controversy has left him red-faced. A state general secretary told DC that only five people were supposed to be aware of the enquiry commission which has been deliberately leaked to the media.

"It was Kummanam who appointed Sreesan and Nazeer to probe on the medical scam which revealed R. S. Vinod's involvement in accepting the bribe. The suspicion is on Nazeer as it was from his email the enquiry report has been leaked", said a BJP general secretary.

Both Sreesan and Nazeer belong to B. Muraleedharan camp. Vinod was expelled from the party on Thursday evening by Kummanam.

At the same time, BJP leaders are keen to initiate action against those leaders too who leaked the enquiry report before the media.
