Telangana: RoFR members to get investment support

The state government said that presently there are about 93,494 individual title holders in the state with the extent of 3,00,092 acres.

Hyderabad: Individual title holders of Recognisation of Forest Rights (RoFR) category will also get investment support at the rate of Rs 4,000 per acre each season under agriculture investment support scheme (Rythu Bandhu scheme). The TS government issued orders on guidelines for implementation of the agriculture investment subsidy scheme on Saturday. The state government said that presently there are about 93,494 individual title holders in the state with the extent of 3,00,092 acres.

The Chief Secretary has opined that in view of the spirit of the new scheme to remove the vulnerability of the farmers, the scheme may be extended to the RoFR individual title holders. The Principal Chief Conservator of forest has informed that as per the progress report received from the commissioner of the Tribal welfare department, there are about 93,494 individual claimants that have the RoFR title certificates. In view of this, the state government has decided to extend the facility.
