Marudh Ganesh is a surprise choice of the DMK in a high voltage contest in RK Nagar. Hailing from a middle class background, his mother was a former councilor which gives an introduction in the area. He is a local journalist and a practising lawyer.
He is known to the DMK cadre in the area since he is the area secretary, but Marudhu Ganesh should have to depend much on the party since he is facing an election for the first time in his life. Hailing from a DMK family, his hopes hinges on party working president M.K. Stalin's campaign and the party's traditional vote bank in the area at a time when the AIADMK votes will be split among three candidates.
