BJP-RSS inciting violence: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

The CPM leader said the assault on Mayor was well planned and it was executed at the behest of senior leaders of the BJP.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Monday accused BJP-RSS of inciting violence in the state. Reacting to the series of violent incidents that took place in Thiruvananthapuram district, Mr Balakrishnan said that there was a deliberate attempt to create trouble in the state. "RSS and BJP want to turn the Capital into a hotbed of violence. They are doing it deliberately to propagate that there is no law and order in the state," he added. CPM state secretary expressed displeasure over the lack of vigil on the part of police in checking the violent activities.

Many party leaders have echoed the same sentiments saying that they were not getting justice from the cops despite the LDF being in power. The CPM leader said the assault on Mayor was well planned and it was executed at the behest of senior leaders of the BJP. Similarly the attack on party district committee office and vandalising P Krishna Pillai bust were part of a larger conspiracy to provoke the CPM workers.
