VIJAYAWADA: Guntur range deputy inspector general of police C.M. Trivikram Varma has ruled out any attack on former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s house.

Speaking to media persons, the DIG, along with Guntur rural SP Vishal Gunni and Guntur urban SP Arif Hafeez, said here on Monday that the YSR Congress MLA representing Pedana Assembly segment, Jogi Ramesh, went to Naidu’s house to submit a representation and added that though the police were not informed about it in advance, they stopped the MLA at the first level of security cover on the Krishna river flood bank leading to Naidu’s house.

The DIG said that the MLA’s car was attacked and an attempt was made to hit his driver with chappals by some persons while stones were hurled on his car, which broke its windshield.

He said that based on complaints lodged by both parties, an inquiry was being taken up. The DIG said that 70 persons went to the DGP office and after learning that he was not in office, they created a ruckus. He said that it was not the way for opposition party leaders to visit the office of DGP to submit a representation.
