Kerala CM lauds people for rejecting hate agenda'

The Vengara bypoll results indicated that people had outrightly rejected the communal and divisive agenda of RSS.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday questioned the intention of anti-Kerala propaganda carried out by top BJP leaders including union ministers and chief ministers. In a Facebook post, the chief minister said 16 union ministers, four chief ministers, one deputy chief minister, 25 BJP MPs/ MLAs and 10 national leaders were brought into the state by the party for Janaraksha Yatra. It was clearly aimed at shattering the peace and harmony in the state.

“The utterances and actions of some of the central ministers were in violation of the federal principles. What kind of debate does Amit Shah wish to have with us by setting such wrong precedents?” he asked.

The chief minister said the BJP yatra led to national media focusing on the development model of Kerala and why it needs to be replicated in other places.

Pinarayi congratulated the people for rejecting the provocative, divisive and hate agenda of the BJP. He commended the Kerala policy for keeping a strict vigil during the entire yatra and thwarting all attempts to disturb the peaceful atmosphere inthe state.

The chief minister saluted his party comrades and sympathisers for not falling prey to the highly provocative, and venomous propaganda of the Sangh Parivar.
