Aam Admi Party not to fight, set to defeat tainted

AAP state convener C.R. Neelakandan said the party's strategy would be announced in Kochi on Tuesday or Wednesday.

KOZHIKODE: Aam Admi Party will not contest in this assembly polls, but it will target the corrupt leaders, including Adoor Prakash, K.M. Mani, K. Babu and Pinarayi Vijayan, to prevent them from getting elected. AAP state convener C.R. Neelakandan said the party's strategy would be announced in Kochi on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"There is no single candidate who is eligible to enter the Assembly. Hence we are refraining from supporting anyone. However, there are some people who need to be prevented from entering the Assembly in any case," Mr. Neelakandan said.

“There is an adjustment politics on the run between the Left and the Right. R. Balakrishna Pillai is the only leader who has been punished for a scam in the recent years. It does not mean that no corruption is taking place. I, like any other common man, believes that the Lavalin financial fraud took place," Mr. Neelakandan said, adding that AAP politics is "true politics" and it is wrong to label it as "alternative politics."
