NEET row: Stalin rebuts Palaniswami\'s charge in Assembly

Though Stalin had given a reply in the House, his statement on Thursday had a more detailed strategy

Chennai: Two days after Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Health Minister C Vijaybaskar openly accused the DMK of being the root cause for the introduction of NEET in the State Assembly, DMK President came out with a statement on Thursday to prove that the DMK had been opposing NEET right from the beginning.

Listing seven allegations levelled by the Tamil Nadu chief minister and others on the floor of the House, Stalin debunked each one of them point by point, giving the details of the incidents with dates.

One of the answers is for the question, which was also raised on the floor directly to Stalin, as to how he would get exemption for Tamil Nadu from NEET. Though Stalin had given a reply in the House, his statement on Thursday had a more detailed strategy.

Through the replies to the questions, Stalin sought to prove that it was the AIADMK that was instrumental in introducing NEET, particularly with its MPs in both the Houses of Parliament not voting against it.

The statement said that the ruling had hurled false allegations against the DMK and it was disproving all of them.
