Hyderabad: Publication of Electoral Rolls and information relating to it have been sent to all the political parties and the number of additions, deletions, inclusions of new voters and other ongoing procedures have been explained by the DEO. He has requested them to cooperate with election officials and follow the prescribed instructions by the ECI regarding the model code of conduct during the elections, said M. Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC
The DEO requested the political parties to obtain the necessary permissions before 48 hours for the conduct of meetings, padayatras, adding that permissions would be issued within 24 hours. The ECI has provided E- Suvidha service to the political parties to represent their applications, grievances online without any inconvenience.
“The provision of C-vigil is also available for the citizens/voters. Whoever wants to identify any cases pertaining to the model code of conduct, can take the video with all necessary details and can post on C-vigil where the election authorities will look into it and action will be initiated on priority. The applicant will be informed about the action taken,” added the district electoral officer Mr. M. Dana Kishore.
Around 23,000 staff is needed for election work and the officials have started the process of contacting various government departments to depute the staff for the ensuing elections.
