Thiruvananthapuram: Block Congress mandalam committees have decided to organise a dharna in front of selected government offices on Tuesday against the price hike of essential goods.
The activists demand action against the alleged failure of LDF government in tackling law and order situation in the state and also that the ordinance on Kerala Investment Promotion and Facilitation should be withdrawn.
Other demands include the early intervention of the government in providing pension and social welfare pension to KSRTC's staff and to address the issues of Ockhi affected people in the coastal areas.
The dharna will be attended by DCC and KPCC office-bearers, MP's, MLA's, former Congress ministers, feeder organisations, various cells and office bearers of local bodies.
