KCR to launch haritha haram in Bhupalapalli

Officials estimate that about 7,500 students and 30,000 people would take part in the inaugural.

WARANGAL: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to inaugurate the fourth phase of Telangana ku Haritha Haram at Bhupalapalli this year, Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi said during a video conference.

A team comprising Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary, collector Amoy Kumar, superintendent of police R. Bhaskaran and district forest officer T. Ravi Kiran chose Gandhinagar in Ghanpur mandal, which has a reserve forest alongside highway 363, as the venue.

Work has begun to prepare the area for the inaugural, and a public meeting that Mr Rao intends to hold to mark the event. Officials estimate that about 7,500 students and 30,000 people would take part in the inaugural.
