Coconut, spices board for BDJS

The BJP national leadership is also planning to make tribal leader C.K. Janu a member of National Tribal Welfare Board.

THIRUVANANTHPURAM: The BJP national leadership is planning to allot prestigious boards under the Central government to Vellapally Natesan’s Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) in recognition of their contribution in the recent Assembly elections. The BJP leadership is considering allotting the chairmanship of prestigious Coconut Development Board and Spices Board to the BDJS nominees.

The party believes that the role played by BDJS in the advancement of BJP in various constituencies across the state was significant. It was mainly because of their support that the BJP could attain second position in seven constituencies.

By allotting the prestigious boards to the BDJS, the BJP also wants to convey to Mr Vellapally Natesan that it wants to strengthen the bond in the coming days. It is no secret that the BDJS helped the BJP gain a foothold in many new areas and the party now wants to consolidate its position.

The BJP national leadership is also planning to make tribal leader C.K. Janu a member of National Tribal Welfare Board. The move is aimed at wooing the tribal communities in the state. These issues were discussed in detail at the BJP-BDJS poll review meeting. The meeting was attended by Amit Shah and Tushar Vellapally.
