Palamaner legislator N Amarnadh Reddy likely to join TD soon

N Amarnadh Reddy was active in the party organisation too.

Nellore: The first migration of YSRC legislator into the Telugu Desam in Chittoor district appears to be on cards. Palamaner legislator N. Amarnadh Reddy is most likely to switch loyalties shortly going by his hectic consultations with the followers in the recent past.

Incidentally, Amarnadh Reddy is not new to Telugu Desam and in fact he had started his political career with TD when the party was established in 1983 and continued in the party till 2013. He held several posts including sarpanch, mandal president, and chairman of Central Bank before he was elected as legislator when he was in TD.

He was active in the party organisation too. He was TD state youth president for over seven years and later took the reins of the party as president of Chittoor district unit. He was elected to Assembly on TD ticket thrice and left the party to join YSR Congress one-and-a-half-year before 2014 elections.

When contacted, Mr Amarnadh Reddy did not deny the option but maintained that he has no plans to shift right now. He said that he got several options but he is not in a hurry.

When asked whether he was collecting the opinion of his followers to embrace TD, he said that there is no need for consultation since he doesn’t have any idea to leave the YSR Congress. He said that he will inform everyone in case if he decides to switch over to the ruling party.
