Thrissur: KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran said that sports minister E.P. Jayarajan should realise his mistake and apologise to the athlete while discussing the issues raised by Anju Bobby George, a bronze medal winner at the World Athletic Championship in 2003 in Thrissur on Thursday.
“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan needs to correct Mr Jayarajan on the matter. A people’s representative should not have talked on such lines to her,” the KPCC chief added. Mr Sudheeran said that UDF chose Ms Anju George as the chairperson of Sports Council based on her talent and not on the basis of her political affiliation.
