Hoardings blitz continues: TRS celebrates landslide victory

Huge hoardings of KCR, KTR put up at major junctions across city.

Hyderabad: The ruling TRS, which dominated other parties in the GHMC poll campaign by putting up a large number of hoardings across the city, is continuing to do the same, this time to celebrate its landslide victory and to thank the voters.

Huge hoardings of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao have been put up at major junctions.

After TRS, the AIMIM, which emerged as the second largest party by winning 44 seats, has also put up scores of hoardings in the Old City and other areas thanking the public.

Few huge hoardings of the TRS were erected at Tarnaka junction and Begumpet on Monday. The party is planning to put up more in the next few days.

The hoardings say: “KCR Vision-KTR Mission-Greater Hyderabad celebrates glorious victory of TRS”. The MIM hoardings meanwhile carry pictures of the Owaisi brothers and say: “We did it”, “We have done it again”.

TRS sources said the party leadership wanted to maintain the party’s “winning atmosphere” in the city for a few more days and attract the attention of people in the GHMC limits with these hoardings by sending signals that the party had not distanced itself from the public after winning the polls.

Sources said TRS chief and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during Sunday’s Cabinet meeting asked ministers and party leaders not to distance themselves from the public after completion of the elections like other parties normally did and instead maintain the tempo by visiting colonies, slums and interact with the public at least till the end of the month.

The CM wanted all ministers, leaders and new TRS corporators to extensively tour all areas in the city like they did while campaigning, and send a strong signal that the party would always remain with the people and not just during elections.
