MK Stalin sings Cauvery tune in heart of delta

THANJAVUR: The AIADMK government in the state has not taken steps to form the Cauvery Management Board and Water Regulation Committees as stipulated in the final award of the Cauvery River Water Disputes Tribunal, said M.K. Stalin, treasurer of DMK here on Saturday.

Campaigning for Anjugam Bhoopathy, DMK candidate for Thanjavur Assembly Constituency, Stalin said that AIADMK has 37 Lok Sabha MPs and 12 Rajya Sabha MPs. But they have not done anything to force the Central government to form these crucial panels.

Stating that DMK has been consistently fighting for the rights of Tamil Nadu on the Cauvery waters issue, He said that DMK played a crucial role in the formation the Tribunal when V.P. Singh was the Prime Minister. The party also played a major role in getting Interim award and the final award also, he said.
