YSRC leaders worship Durga on Dasara day with coconuts for 3-Capitals

VIJAYAWADA: Ruling YSRC leaders and cadres worshipped Goddess Durga, seeking fulfillment of the 3-Capitals wish, on the occasion of Dasara festival in AP.

They offered special pujas and broke coconuts, praying for fulfillment of 3-Capitals wish to ensure balanced development of all regions.

The YSRC had called upon its rank and file to perform special poojas by breaking coconuts in temples during the festival in support of the 3-Capitals cause. There was good response to the call, its leaders said.

Coconut traders were happy as the demand for coconuts increased as a result.

Tourism minister RK Roja broke 108 coconuts and worshiped Goddess Durga at the Indrakeeladri Kanaka Durgamma temple. She prayed for removal of the hurdles in the way of the decentralization bill.

On the occasion of Vijaya Dasmi, Kakinada MLA Kurasala Kannababu broke coconuts at the Kanaka Durga temple near Sarpavaram junction. Gopalapuram MLA Talari Venkatrao broke 108 coconuts at Dwaraka Tirumala, known as China Tirupati in Eluru district. Later, he offered prayers in churches and Masjids.

YSRC cadre broke coconuts at Velivanuru in Undi Mandal, led by the party senior leader PVL Narasima Raju. Pithapuram MLA Pendem Dorababu performed pooja at the famous Lord Kukkuteswara Swamy temple and the Jaiganesh temple.

AP assembly speaker Thammineni Sitaram broke 108 coconuts at the Pala Polamma temple in Amadalavalasa. Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao performed special poojas at the Durga Mata temple at the intersection of seven roads in Srikakulam.

YSRC leaders led by assembly deputy speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy offered 1000 coconuts at the Paidithalli Ammavari temple in Vizianagaram. Deputy chief minister Peedika Rajanna Dora performed pooja at the Saluru Shamalamba temple.

Former deputy CM Dharmana Krishnadas performed pooja at the Sosaram Durga Mata Gudi in Srikakulam district. YSRC MLC Duvvada Srinivas held a demonstration with flexi at Durga Mandapam in Tekkali in support of decentralized development.
