Congress constitutes disciplinary action committee for Telangana

HYDERABAD: The Congress constituted its disciplinary action committee for Telangana state on Wednesday. AICC president Sonia Gandhi approved the new committee in which Dr G. Chinna Reddy will be the chairman.

Former Rajya Sabha member M.A.Khan was named vice chairman of the panel but he quickly refused to accept the post.

He wrote a letter to this effect to the AICC president on Friday.

“No representative either from the TPCC or the AICC discussed with me before offering the disciplinary committee post,” he said. “I served as MP for two terms and as whip in Rajya Sabha,” he said.

A.Shyam Mohan, Gaddam Vinod, Soudagar Gangaram, B. Kamalakar Rao and C.J. Srinivas Rao are members of the committee, according to the orders issued by AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal.
