Uttam reviews preparations for Haath se Haat jodo at Kodad

Hyderabad: Former PCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reviewed the preparations of Haath se Haath Jodo Abhiyan at a meeting at Kodad in Suryapet district on Sunday.

While appealing to the participants to make the campaign a success, he said that the Congress rank and file would ensure that the message of party leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra reached every household.

Expressing anger over the alleged harassment of Congress workers by the police, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that after the Parliament’s Budget Session ended, he would take up a massive protest programme in Kodad.

He said that it was unfortunate that the TRS government was “protecting the land, sand, wines and mines mafia” in Kodad. He said he will would politics if the Congress victory margin in Kodad — where his wife Padmavathi had earlier served as MLA — would be less than 50,000 votes in the upcoming state elections.

The meeting was attended by G. Niranjan, PCC senior vice-president, former MLA Padmavathi and other Congress leaders.
