Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar painting a lotus in full public view has sparked speculation in the political circle. RJD which is one of the key constituents of the grand secular alliance government in Bihar is said to have taken offence to the whole event.
Though there has been no official statement but insiders claim that “party high command is not very amused by the gesture”. Sources said RJD chief Lalu Yadav may speak with Nitish and demand an explanation over the issue.
“We can’t give statements on the issue until and unless Lalu Yadav says anything but in last one year Nitish Kumar has given several indications which clearly shows his growing love for the saffron brigade,” RJD insider told this newspaper on Sunday in Patna. Nitish Kumar while inaugurating book fair in Patna on Saturday had painted a lotus drawn by an artist.
