\"The Chief Minister's statement only reflects the cheap and nasty mindset of the Congress,\"Ravikumar added scathingly.

Objecting strongly to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s comment at a Congress party meeting in hassan that national BJP president, Amit Shah was an accused in a murder case and would have been in jail if the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had not came to power, Mr Yeddyurappa said he must apologise to him.

Agreeing, BJP state general secretary, Ravikumar said Mr. Siddaramaiah ought to know that Mr Shah was acquitted by the Supreme Court and the BJP government had nothing to do with it.
