Warangal is the next big city in the state after Hyderabad, says KT Rama Rao

Warangal Urban: Warangal will receive Rs 2000 crore funds in the next three years under several state government development schemes which will help its overall development, said IT minister K. Taraka Rama Rao. He was in Warangal on Wednesday to attend the appointment ceremony of Marri Yadava Reddy as chairman of KUDA.

Speaking at the public meeting arranged on the occasion, Mr Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has great regard for Warangal and its people and that is why he has announced several development projects here. Soon, Warangal would see fast paced development, he said.

“Kakatiya Urban Development Authority will play a major role in turning Warangal into a Smart City. Warangal is the next big city in the state after Hyderabad. Already one IT company is ready to start with 1,500 employees at Madikonda. Soon, more IT companies will be brought in.

“The proposed textile park at Chintalapalli will be built as a comprehensive package where both farmers and weavers would benefit. Warangal produces the best cotton in the state and is known for the handloom weavers. The textile park will be useful for farmers, weavers and the local people to find employment. Just like the industrial policy we will also bring in a textile policy,” he said.
