BJP central leaders to start talks with LDF

The attack shows the CPM's frustration soon after the election in which the BJP performed well here.

KOZHIKODE: Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said here on Thursday that the BJP’s central leadership will initiate talks with the CPM to end political violence in the state, especially in Malabar. Earlier, he visited two BJP workers- Vilangotu Mani hailing from Nittor in Kuttiyadi and Eranholi Rameshan from Thalassery- who were admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode after the attacks by LDF activists.

“The attack shows the CPM’s frustration soon after the election in which the BJP performed well here. The police did not take any action and the investigation is weak,” he said. “Law and order here has to be improved and there is no place for violence in a democracy, which will affect the development of the region,” said Mr Nadda.
