LDF delivery record is poor: Oommen Chandy

Chandy added that BJP's attempt was to create a communal divide in Kerala for electoral gain.

Malappuram: During his second phase election campaign throughout the district on Monday, the Chief Minister Oomen Chandy has came down heavily on past LDF governments and BJP in the state. “LDF says things will be alight once they are in power, but they should make clear what all they had set right when they were in power,” Chandy said while speaking at the UDF election convention at Randathani in Kottakkal constituency.

He said that UDF has its own developmental achievements to place before the voters including smart city, Vizhinjam Port and Kochi Metro, but LDF cannot point out even a single project that scales during their tenure, he added.

“The results of the by-elections held during last five years in Kerala had recognised the developmental agenda of the UDF government. The people of Kerala had ruled out all the allegations raised by the LDF during that period,” he said.

Chandy added that BJP’s attempt was to create a communal divide in Kerala for electoral gain and the people who believe in secular democracy will discard their agenda.
