Nothing positive about 100 days of LDF: Ramesh Chennithala

Ramesh Chennithala said the LDF government was fed up with too many advisors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has nothing to say positive about Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan completing 100 days in office. He said the LDF government was fed up with too many advisors. He said finance minister T. M. Thomas’s silence on the appointment of Gita Gopinath as financial advisor to Mr Vijayan was mysterious and that it was unfortunate the media had been unable to report court proceedings after a tiff with lawyers.

“Media is unable to report from courts including High Court. There are lots of legal news going unreported. It is the first time in the history of the state that such incidents are happening unabated. CPM central leadership should intervene in the issue and find an amicable solution at the earliest,” he said. He said Mr Vijayan was following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said V.S. Achuthanandan was yet to assume office as head of Administrative Reforms Commission even after more than a month since his appointment. "You cannot show miracles in 100 days," he said. “But it's enough to understand the way in which LDF government is treading. Its performance was hopeless and files warranting immediate attention are piling up at the Secretariat. I wish to know the reaction of the Chief Minister on this.”
