Join hands with Jagan Mohan Reddy, or Jana Sena: Ex-MP

Congress needs strong leadership in the state and the high command has been paying special attention on the subject, says Dr Chinta Mohan.

Nellore: Former MP, Dr Chinta Mohan, said that Congress should not hesitate to join hands with either YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy or Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan to strengthen Congress and regain its past glory in the state.

He was addressing party men during a programme held in connection with SC, ST, BC and Minorities "Samajika Nyaya Sadhikarita Yatra" as part of the 125th birth anniversary (year long) celebrations of Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar at Indira Bhavan in Nellore on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Congress needs strong leadership in the state and the high command has been paying special attention on the subject.
Referring to Rahul Gandhi sharing dais with Left parties in West Bengal recently, he said that there is nothing wrong to join with YSRC or Pawan Kalyan to revitalise the party.

His observation led to protest from a section of the gathering. They raised slogans against the former MP. PCC President N. Raghuveera Reddy and former union minister Panabaka Lakshmi tried to pacify the protestors but in vain. Unmindful of the commotion, Dr Chinta Mohan has continued his speech and left the dais and completing whatever he wanted to say.
