Tamil Nadu should become 2nd to none in IT exports: K Pandiarajan

The minister was speaking at the first day of the two-day Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Connect 2016.

Chennai: “Tamil Nadu is the only state which has been creating opportunities for provision of space to companies for their projects in its Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities unlike other states, where one major city aims at attracting all investment,” said K. Pandiarajan, state minister of school education, youth welfare and sport development.

Lauding the Chief Minister’s mission to align the efforts, budget and resource allocation in accordance to her Vision 2023, the minister said that the CM had been clairvoyant in her approach and has managed to build an ecosystem for change in the state.

The minister was speaking at the first day of the two-day Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Connect 2016. The conference began with a discussion on how to integrate digital technology with public sector, companies and businesses to create better solutions. IT has now transformed itself from being looked upon as just being a support function to a strategic driver.

“With the speed at which IT is driving business solutions, it will surely help double the GDP,” said N. Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD, Tata Consultancy Services.
