Kozhikode: The CPM has decided to launch a campaign to highlight the fact that the RSS was operating like a mafia group. A meeting of the CPM Kannur district secretariat held here on Friday alleged that the bomb attack on the CPM meeting the other day in which state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan also participated was the result of a political conspiracy. The CPM would organise public meetings at 206 centres in the state on February 3, Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan told reporters on Friday.
The secretariat claimed that the party had identified those who hurled the bomb and also those who spoiled the campaign boards with black oil. A police complaint was filed with the name and registration numbers of bikes in which they travelled, the secretariat report said. The attack was aimed at creating violence in the district, it said and added that the BJP was justifying it. The report also asked the state government to conduct an investigation into the expose of Jishnu, an RSS worker of Thiruvananthapuram who was tortured allegedly by RSS workers and leaders for 38 days. CPM state committee member M.V. Jayarajan also was present at the news conference.
